Ras Al Khaimah is roughly 100 kilometres from central Dubai — about 1 to 1.5 hours by coach depending on traffic. For adventure groups heading to Jebel Jais (the UAE’s highest peak), we recommend a 30-seat coaster or larger coach for comfort on the mountain approach. Smaller groups doing beach resort transfers suit a 14-seat mini bus.
Jebel Jais mountain road considerations
The road to Jebel Jais viewing deck climbs over 1,900 metres. Coaches handle it well but need more fuel and time than flat highway routes.
